2014 will be a wild adventure of Winter Olympics, World Cup Football, New Series of Existing Titles and Movies galore. It will be shown in 4K, HD, SD, weird internet resolutions and varying frame rates and bit rates:
We’ll be watching Media on Teeny Tiny Screens, as well as super bright 4K screens, ultra-wide screens, handheld screens, and maybe even wearable screens.
We’re all busy. Finding the time to learn is always tricky, but here at AmberFin we like to give you small, bite sized chunks of information that help you run your businesses and help you make good decisions in good time. All that new technology and those new business models are the visible tips of a huge technology iceberg that is busy changing shape and size due to the economic pressures being put on it by the consumer’s desire to consume media on new platforms, but also by the advertisers desire to move their budgets to the platforms where they maximize their returns.
The team here at the Dalet Academy would like to offer you the chance to let us know what you’d like to learn in 2014. In January, we will be putting together our programme for the first half of 2014, so if there is a topic that you’d like us to explore or maybe a general area of technology where you don’t even know how to formulate the question, then please let us know.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve come to recognize that there are a lot of readers out there who don’t know where to go to get the information on today’s technologies. It does not seem to be taught in many Universities, there aren’t many paid for courses and somehow we have to do things differently, cheaper and faster than at any time since the recorded media industry started in the 1800s.
So while you’re sitting in front of the TV / iPad / wearable-TV-socks over the holiday season and drinking one last glass of celebration wine, why not get in touch with us and send us your 2014 wish list of all the things you need to know. I may not be as good as an octopus when it comes to predicting the winner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but I can probably help you understand the subtleties of getting your 24p content around the TV and internet networks of the USA, Europe and Asia looking as good as it did in the camera.
